IU4Nepal

On Saturday, April 25, 2015, a 7.8-magnitude earthquake struck the nation of Nepal. The initial earthquake, its aftershocks, and the resulting avalanches have killed more than 4,000 people across the Himalayas.

IU4Nepal is Indiana University's response to this disaster. Various campus organizations and leaders will be raising awareness and organizing support to help Nepal. For the latest updates, see IU4Nepal's Facebook page.

On May 6, IU4Nepal met its initial goal to raise $20,000 for Nepal! Read the press release here.

IU4Nepal Earthquake Relief Fund

We need your help! We are asking the IU and Bloomington community to pull together to help support victims of the Nepal earthquake and long-term reconstruction efforts. We have established a fundraising site through the non-profit Globalgiving.org. The IU4Nepal page on that site can be found here. All funds solicited as part of this effort will go toward the GlobalGiving Nepal Earthquake Relief Fund.

Funds will be used to support a variety of international and local non-profits working on earthquake relief. Donations are fully tax-deductible, and can be made by check, credit card, or Paypal.
